Due to Pakistani airspace closure for commercial flights and overflights since 27th February 2019, Uzbekistan Airways was forced to make changes to its scheduled flights to Amritsar, Delhi, Mumbai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok, which usually fly over Afganistan, Pakistan and India airspaces.
All flights to/from Amritsar, Delhi, Mumbai, Kuala-Lumpur, Bangkok and Singapore were rerouted to operate over Turkmenistan, Iran and Oman airspaces, which added 2-3 hours to normal flight times.
Currently flights to/from Amritsar, Delhi, Mumbai are rerouted over Turkmenistan, Iran and Oman airspaces.
Flights to/from Kuala-Lumpur, Bangkok and Singapore are rerouted over Laos, China and Kazakhstan airspaces which added 1,5-2 hours to normal flight times.
Uzbekistan airways kindly apologise for inconveniences and informs all passengers that extend flight time will remain until normal schedule will resume.
Given the significantly increased flight time (in connection with the closure of the airspace over the territory of Pakistan and Afghanistan), Uzbekistan Airways strongly recommends to all passengers with outgoing flights from airports Amritsar, Delhi, Mumbai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok rebook their outbound flights to the later time in advance.
